  • Follow a Skincare Routine: Cleanse, exfoliate (1-2 times a week), and moisturize daily.

  • Introduce Professional Treatments: Consider monthly facials, dermaplaning, or gentle chemical peels for smooth skin.

  • Use SPF Daily: Protect your skin from sun damage with a lightweight, non-greasy SPF.

  • Avoid New Skincare Too Close to the Wedding: Test any new products months in advance to avoid irritation or breakouts.

Prepping for Your Makeup Trial

Your makeup trial is the perfect opportunity to perfect your bridal look. Here’s how to prepare:

  • Wear White or a Similar Shade to Your Dress: This helps you visualize how the makeup will complement your wedding look.

  • Arrive with a Fresh, Makeup-Free Face: This allows your skin to be prepped properly before application.

  • Tan: If you are wearing tan for your wedding, it is the best idea to wear it for your trial too. 

  • Bring Inspiration Photos: Gather images of makeup styles you love to help guide the look.

  • Eyebrows: Ensure your eyebrows are well groomed, this makes your makeup look much cleaner. 

  • Consider Your Wedding Theme & Lighting: If your wedding is outdoors, you may want a more natural, dewy finish, while indoor weddings may call for a slightly more defined look.

  • Take Photos in Different Lightings: This helps you see how your makeup will look in natural light, flash photography, and evening lighting.

  • No Heavy Skincare or SPF: Avoid thick creams or SPF on the morning of the wedding, as they can affect makeup longevity.

  • Wear a Loose, Button-Up or Robe: This prevents makeup from being disturbed when changing into your dress.
